Carbon credits done right: how Perspektiv integrates high-quality offsets into credible net zero pathways, prioritising real emissions reduction first.

Disclosure is moving from the voluntary presentation of select narratives to mandatory disclosure of specified impacts. Your Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory (and the Basis of its Preparation (BoP)) needs to be absolutely water-tight, capable of withstanding scrutiny from regulators, auditors, assurance providers, investors, and boards.

Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to use Perspektiv’s Adventure Leave for something I’d been talking about for years: an eight-day rafting trip down Tasmania’s Franklin River with a group of old uni mates. 

In Australia, the pendulum is swinging from voluntary action back towards mandatory action. This has everything to do with the 2024 amendments to the Corporations Act that mandate climate-related financial disclosures. As more entities are captured by these rules each year, the ESG conversation is shifting fast.

Organisations across every sector are now expected to understand their climate-related risks, respond to regulation and weave ESG into everyday decision-making.  One qualification that genuinely enables this capability is the GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) Certification.
