Reintroducing Our Sustainable Infrastructure Team: Expanding the Impact of IS

We’re excited to reintroduce our Sustainability Ratings team under a new name: Sustainable Infrastructure. 

This change reflects more than a rebrand; it’s a recognition of how infrastructure sustainability is evolving and how we’re evolving with it. 

IS Ratings remain integral to what we do 

As one of Australia’s most experienced ISAP teams, we’ve delivered some of the highest-scoring and most cost-effective IS Ratings in the country. The IS Rating tool remains a vital part of how many clients set sustainability benchmarks, unlock funding, and demonstrate leadership in the infrastructure space. We’re proud of our legacy in this space, and we’re not going anywhere. But as the sector matures, so too does the need to support our clients beyond the boundaries of a single framework. 

Supporting sustainability outcomes, with or without a formal rating 

Increasingly, we’re working with clients who want to pursue ambitious sustainability goals without necessarily seeking a formal IS Rating. Others are looking to align with multiple frameworks, including ratings, or meet shifting requirements from state governments, investors, and regulators. That’s where our expanded offering comes in.

Simon Hooper, Head of Sustainable Infrastructure - With over two decades of industry experience and insights from 200+ infrastructure sustainability audits and reviews, Simon is known for his calm, considered approach. He builds trusted relationships and empowers clients to meet sustainability goals with clarity, confidence, and long-term impact. 

Kieren Heikkinen, Regional Lead - A highly qualified sustainability professional and ISAP, Kieren brings a civil engineering background to his work in auditing, strategy development, and IS Ratings delivery. He has led audits, performance reviews, and climate risk assessments across major projects. 

Vereine Masson, Regional Lead - Vereine has extensive experience applying the principles of sustainable development to the built environment. Her work internationally with London Olympic Park and local flagship projects such as Sydney Metro have contributed to her development as an award-winning sustainability professional. 

Julie Blain, Senior Sustainability Consultant - Julie has deep expertise in Ratings and Assurance, with a talent for stakeholder engagement. She integrates sustainability frameworks into project delivery, helping teams achieve measurable performance under the ISC and other sustainable infrastructure scheme. 

Gargi Mukkamala, Senior Sustainability Consultant - Known for her ability to evaluate and embed sustainability outcomes, Gargi brings experience in energy, materials, water, and carbon assessments, and capability in managing design interfaces to ensure sustainability is seamlessly integrated into project design. 

Kirsten Neil, Senior Sustainability Consultant - With international and local experience, Kirsten has delivered multiple infrastructure sustainability ratings and supports circular economy strategies, climate risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement across planning, design, and construction. 

Jordyn Barlow, Sustainability Consultant - Jordyn supports clients to implement initiatives aligned with the UN SDGs. With a background in climate and environmental strategy, she helps organisations reduce impact and deliver positive change across projects and communities.
