Welcome Stewart Lee

We are very excited to have Stewart join the Perspektiv team in Perth as a Sustainability Consultant.

Stewart has a keen interest in energy and how it flows, how we use it to get around, and how we can use clever monitoring and data to manage the demand-side of energy to optimise things like our electric grid without having to overbuild it.

With an honours degree in electrical engineering Stewart has experience working as an engineer for some large mining and infrastructure clients and is currently working towards completing master’s in environmental science, focussing on GIS & remote sensing of environmental data/carbon stores, as well as ‘Green Financing’ – what kind of fair/just economics and financing arrangements can we develop to cover the capital cost of transitioning away from fossil fuels whilst bringing people out of poverty?

Stewart has also worked with a couple of large WA local governments on how planning processes and building regulations can be changed to lock in more sustainable long-term options, such as:

  • Getting rid of gas supplies as the default, making new houses all-electric.

  • Mandating the use of white roofs and requiring nature strips & verges to have trees and native bushes.

  • Heat pumps and solar for local government services like pools, gyms, civic centres.

Stewart is proactive and motivated with a commitment to delivering tailored and high-quality services. He is focused on developing a strong knowledge base to make a to make a positive contribution alongside our team in driving down emissions, improving socioeconomic outcomes, and helping to instil sustainable thinking in projects.

When he’s not a work, Stewart enjoys being active and getting outdoors– Not too long ago he learnt how to sail, and he is currently planning a trip to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro. Some other fun facts about Stewart; he's a registered beekeeper 🐝, has a solo skydiving licence and loves a bit of Drum and Bass!
