Welcome Katie Williams

We are very excited to have Katie Williams join the Perspektiv team as our new Principal Sustainability Consultant in our Perth office, focussing on our ESG Strategy & Leadership, Human Rights & Social Impact, Sustainable Procurement and Sustainable Governance service areas.

Katie brings something new to Perspektiv, adding to our professional portfolio of engineers, social scientists, environmental scientists and architects. Katie comes from the legal and regulatory domain, advising companies on the human and social factors of their operations. A trusted advisor to boards and leadership teams, she has significant expertise in the energy and infrastructure sectors and has worked in the UK and Australia.

Katie firmly believes that the best outcomes derive from an approach that integrates the environmental with the social rather than putting them in silos. In her view:

“Today’s wicked problems of deep inequalities and climate crisis need cohesive, multi-disciplinary responses. For me, joining the team at Perspektiv is a transformational opportunity to leverage our combined skill sets and help our clients drive progress.”

Formerly a partner in a global law firm and an employment lawyer for 20+ years, Katie combines her expertise in complex workforce matters with skills in corporate governance, sustainable procurement, modern slavery, social impact, diversity, equity and reconciliation. Katie’s ethos has always been to “go beyond compliance” and she has track record of promoting a multi-disciplinary approach to realise positive social change.

With her legal practice background and knowledge in business and human rights, Katie is a subject matter expert in social and governance aspects of ESG, including in relation to human rights impacts, responsible supply chains, modern slavery policies and statements, due diligence, grievance mechanisms and speak up cultures. She will also help Perspektiv enhance our approach to Diversity and Inclusion and the development of our Reconciliation Action Plan.

Like many of us at Perspektiv Katie also loves a good (sustainable) coffee! When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family and being near the sea.
